Our Story
Our goal is to create fair, regional and at the same time extraordinary design products made of wood, which give you a long-lasting feeling of appreciation, gratitude and joy both at home and in the office.
Here in our story you can learn how the desire to design sustainable products with a lot of heart, time and creativity finally became JUNGHOLZ.
OUR TINKERER PHILIPP
The origin of JUNGHOLZ is the laptop table made of wood. In his small shared student room, Philipp often had to study uncomfortably on his bed with his laptop. On the Internet, there were only ugly and rickety tables from the Far East.
It was clear: He would build it himself. The first prototype was bent out of sheet steel and covered with wood veneer - quite heavy and wobbly, unfortunately, but great in function.
AN IDEA BECOMES YOUNG WOOD
While having coffee with a fellow student, the idea came up to build the table completely out of molded wood. The foundation stone of JUNGHOLZ was laid and now it was time for the implementation.
We started the project with a local manufacturer and the result was the current laptop table, which is still the heart of today's product variety.
THE STARTING SHOT
After the first trade fair, the opening of the online store and after a successful crowdfunding campaign, it was clear to us: JUNGHOLZ has the potential to make the world greener.
The wooden notebook also moved into our online store and has since inspired numerous customers with its unique design.
WE ARE PICKING UP SPEED
Just the Corona time has shown that we can be agile in a very short time and offer products that are not only beautiful, but also practical.
Out of necessity, we developed our own face visor over the weekend and put it online at cost price. Within 3 months we sold an insane 5,000 JUNGHOLZ visors!
WE CONTINUE TO GROW
We are starting the new year strong and have a lot of growth - in the team and in the portfolio:
- the cover for iPhone 12
- the wooden rollerball
- the JUNGHOLZ desk equipment
And something else new: We are getting a little closer to our mission every day and are planting a tree for every order together with Eden Projects.
THE CLASSIC IN MINI
Our product range continues to expand. After a smaller version of our laptop table was requested, we have taken the feedback to heart and present: flexible working in mini! In addition, there are not only new products for the home office, such as the MagSafe holder and the desk pad made of real stone, but also something to relax after work: our bath tray.
And what's more, we've already planted over 18,000 trees together with Eden Projects.
THERE ARE NEW VARIANTS
New year - new variations. Some of our design products are now also available in different sizes and variations, adapted to your needs. This includes our pen tray, ink roller and laptop dock. Our laptop table is now also available in a medium variant.
